I am a born-again Christian ; Because of a five generation slide away from the absolute truths of the Judeo-Christian Bible, Christianity has degenerated into a religious way of life, namely, a ritual without a reality. Christianity, as a religion is bankrupt . It has nothing to offer mankind that is not and cannot be offered by any other religion. However, given the absolutes of divine decree found in the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God in its original manuscripts, now lost, the religions of the world are mere distortions to one degree or another of those absolute truths. You invited me to participate on your program and present as best I knew how in a short period of time my answers to the questions you and your audience asked. “I loved it .” You are professionals at what you do, and you and your audience give evidence that you understand the bankruptcy of Christianity as a religion , and you do a great job of exposing it for what it is – bankrupt spiritually – and I applaud you for this . However, given the reality of absolutes, there is great danger of painting with too broad a brush. Everything that is “Christian” is not religious. There is a spiritual side of Christianity that must not be overlooked. AJay and April, you are asking the right questions, and you demonstrate the ability to ask the hard and penetrating questions without disrespecting the hard-core beliefs that I bring to your table. Keep up the good work of challenging Christians to find their roots in biblical spirituality rather than following a bankrupt system of does and don'ts without the reality of a genuine Christ-likeness that should exude from our lives.
